Spanish Camp – Autumn 25

There’s something electrifying about a week spent riding the mountains of Spain especially at the end of a season, and this year’s Ride Fire 6 day cycling camp delivered every ounce of that thrill. From the moment the group clipped in, the rhythm of climbing took over – most notably on the iconic Col de Rates and the steep, punishing ramps above Finestrat. Each ascent brought its own blend of challenges and exhilaration, with sweeping views that made every drop of sweat worth it. Between climbs, sun-drenched (and often too rapid) descents and quiet coastal roads stitched the whole adventure together into the perfect cyclist’s playground.

The camp wasn’t all intensity, though; it also had its moments of Mediterranean bliss. Mornings rolled easily into breakfast stops in Calpe, where the sea breeze and Cortado coffees worked their magic on tired legs. Afternoons drifting through Altea offered slower moments: ham and cheese rolls, laughter, and the kind of conversation that only comes after many shared miles. These pockets of calm made the high-effort days even sweeter, balancing the trip with just the right mix of effort and enjoyment.

Huge thanks go out to the riders, Rob, David, James, Gareth, Ben, Dave, Chris and Twigg; whose energy, support and camaraderie made the trip unforgettable. And the excitement isn’t over! Soon we’ll be sharing the stunning professional photos captured by Barrington. These images will help showcase the very best of Ride Fire bikes, Major Wheels, Scia Cycling apparel, and Nimbl shoes – brands that fueled both performance and style throughout the week. Stay tuned; the story of this camp is only just beginning.
