Ride Fire CRF04: Big Efforts and a Brilliant Day on the Bike

Over 40 riders rolled out together for Ride Fire CRF04, taking on a stunning route through the rolling countryside of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. With dry weather, fast roads and a strong group atmosphere, the day delivered everything a proper club ride should.

The route wound its way through Gilmorton, Naseby and South Kilworth, linking together some of the region’s best roads and some challenging terrain. The climbs came thick and fast throughout the day – short and sharp, and naturally the pace lifted every time the road pointed upwards. Punchy climbs were met with equally punchy attacks, with riders testing legs, fitness and friendships in equal measure.

But CRF04 was always about more than just speed.

The morning began the right way, with fresh coffee and croissants bringing riders together before the first pedal stroke. It set the tone for a day built around community, conversation and a shared love of riding bikes. From experienced racers to weekend leisure riders, everyone contributed to an atmosphere that felt welcoming, energetic and genuinely special.

The event also marked the launch of two exciting new additions to the Ride Fire lineup: the all-new Ignite RF/04 and the latest Club Ride Fire jerseys. The new bikes were out in force across the ride, turning heads throughout the route and adding an extra buzz to the day.

After the final kilometres were ticked off and the last climbs conquered, riders rolled back in for a well-earned recovery of pizza and cold beer… the perfect finish to a memorable day in the saddle.

One of the highlights of the day came off the bike too, with the MAJOR wheel raffle raising over £800 for LOROS. A huge thank you goes to everyone who bought tickets and supported the cause, and congratulations to Ben Moss, who took home the prize.

CRF04 was a reminder of what Ride Fire is all about: good people, challenging rides, great kit and unforgettable days on two wheels. Already counting down to the next one.
